Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PeppyTides ("PeppyTides," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information when you visit getpeppytides.com (the "Site") or contact us. The Site is intended only for adults aged 21 and over.

1. Information we collect

Information you send us. When you submit an inquiry or email us, we receive what you choose to provide. That usually includes:

  • your name and email address;
  • the products and quantities you're interested in, and your message; and
  • if you place an order, your shipping address, phone number (if provided) and order details.

The Site's inquiry form currently opens a pre-filled message in your own email app, so the information reaches us only when you send that email to hello@getpeppytides.com. Email sent to that address is forwarded to a mailbox we operate.

Payment information. We do not take payment cards on the Site and we do not collect or store card details. After an order is confirmed we email you an invoice, and you pay through a third-party service: cryptocurrency, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or Apple Cash. Those services process your payment under their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. From them we receive the payment details they show to a recipient, such as the sender's name, username, email or phone number linked to the account, the amount, the date and any note you include. For cryptocurrency payments we receive the sending wallet address and transaction ID. Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on a public blockchain and are visible to anyone, which we cannot change. We keep these payment records with your order.

Age-gate setting (local storage). When you confirm that you are 21 or older, the Site saves a small setting in your browser's local storage so that you don't see the age prompt on every page. This setting stays on your device, is not sent to us, contains no personal information, and is not used for tracking or advertising. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Technical information. Like most websites, the Site is delivered through a hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), which may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We do not currently use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels on the Site.

2. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiries and send quotes;
  • process, ship and support your orders, including claims, replacements and refunds;
  • verify age or eligibility where needed;
  • keep records required for tax, accounting and legal purposes;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse or prohibited use of our Products; and
  • enforce our Terms of Sale and Use.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our email provider, hosting provider, the payment service you choose and our shipping carrier (USPS), who receive only what they need to perform their services;
  • Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or court order, or is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud or prohibited use, or protect someone's safety; and
  • Business transfers, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, in which case information may be transferred to the new owner subject to this policy.

4. Retention

We keep inquiry emails and order records only as long as needed for the purposes above. By default we keep order records for 7 years (for tax and accounting purposes) and inquiries that did not lead to an order for 24 months. After that we delete them or keep them only in a form that does not identify you.

5. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site and access-restricted accounts for email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not email us payment card numbers or other sensitive information.

6. Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information; or
  • ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law (for example, tax records for completed orders).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Age restriction

The Site and our Products are only for adults aged 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn we have received information from someone under 21, we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
